Growing up, some of the best conversations I remember having with my Nannie Odom we over some freshly made, hot from the oven Angel Biscuits. There’s just something about the way she would make them that made each one taste better than the last. Since then, it’s become on of my family’s go-to recipes. Now, it’s time to share it and pass it on.



1 package of yeast

½ Cup warm water

2 Cups Milk

½ Cup Oil

5 Cups All Purpose Flour sifted

3 Tablespoons Sugar

1½ Teaspoon Baking Powder

1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

1 Teaspoon Salt

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in medium size bowl and mix well. Make well in center.

Dissolve yeast in the warm water. Add oil and milk to dissolved yeast.

Pour wet ingredients into center of flour mixture.

Stir well.

Put in cover bowl and refrigerate.  Take out and use as you need it.

Place dough on floured surface and knead lightly

Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400* 12 to 14 minutes

When you take these out of the oven, there’s nothing better than adding freshly made jam or jelly and eating it with the ones you love.
